It is made with artists in mind. The straightforward 1:1-by-volume mixing system makes the process approachable, while its working characteristics make it useful for experienced creators as well.
Can beginners use ReMARKable Resin
Yes. The mixing process is straightforward, but epoxy resin requires careful measuring, mixing and safe handling. New users should read the complete directions and safety information before beginning.
What kinds of art can I create with it?
ReMARKable Resin is intended for creative applications including glass art, canvas and painted artwork, mixed media, embellishments and other compatible art projects.
Is ReMARKable Resin made in the USA?
The approved product labels state Made in USA with Global Materials.
Is ReMARKable Resin high gloss?
Yes. The approved gallon product labels identify High Gloss as a product characteristic.
Is the finished resin durable?
The approved gallon labels identify a Durable Finish and Heat & Water Resistant characteristics.
What sizes are available?
ReMARKable Resin is available in:
16 oz Kit: 8 oz Part A + 8 oz Part B
32 oz Kit: 16 oz Part A + 16 oz Part B
1 Gallon Kit: ½ gallon Part A + ½ gallon Part B
Which kit should I choose?
The 16 oz kit is a practical starting point for smaller projects. The 32 oz kit gives regular creators more material for multiple or moderately sized projects. The 1 Gallon Kit is intended for larger-format work, studio use and creators who use resin regularly.
Is the formulation different between sizes?
The supplied labels show the same fundamental directions, pot life and dry-time information across the three kit sizes.
What is the mixing ratio?
Mix equal amounts of Part A and Part B by volume, a 1:1 ratio.
Should I mix by weight?
The approved directions specify measuring equal amounts by volume. Follow that method.
How long should I mix?
Gently mix Part A and Part B for 3 minutes.
Should I mix quickly?
No. The directions specifically say to mix gently and avoid whipping air into the mixture.
What kind of mixing stick should I use?
The approved directions recommend a clean mixing stick, preferably silicone.
What kind of container should I use?
Measure Part A and Part B into a clean mixing container.
Why is accurate measuring important?
ReMARKable Resin is a two-component system designed around equal volumes of Part A and Part B. Deviating from the instructed ratio changes the intended mixture.
Can I add extra hardener to make it dry faster?
Do not change the prescribed ratio. Measure equal amounts of Part A and Part B by volume.
Should I warm ReMARKable Resin before using it??
Yes. The supplied directions instruct you to place the unopened bottles of both Part A and Part B in hot water for 10 minutes before measuring and mixing.
Should the bottles be open while warming?
No. The instructions specifically say unopened bottles.
What do I do after mixing?
Immediately pour or drizzle the mixed resin onto your surface and spread it evenly using a silicone spreading tool.
Should I have mixed resin sitting in the cup?
The approved directions say to pour and spread immediately after mixing.
How much time do I have to work?
The stated pot life is approximately 45 minutes, based on 70°F (21°C) ambient temperature.
What is pot life?
Pot life describes the approximate period during which the mixed Part A and Part B remain workable. ReMARKable's label specifies 45 minutes under the stated conditions.
Is pot life the same as dry time?
No. Pot life is the working period after mixing. Dry time is the period before the applied material has dried to the stage specified by the manufacturer.
How long does ReMARKable Resin take to dry?
The approved label states 18–24 hours, based on 70°F (21°C) ambient temperature.
Does temperature affect the stated dry time?
The manufacturer's 18–24-hour figure is specifically based on 70°F (21°C) ambient temperature, so conditions different from the reference temperature may affect behavior.
Is dry time the same as full cure?
Not necessarily. The approved material supplied to us specifies an 18–24-hour dry time, but it does not provide a separate verified full-cure specification. We therefore do not publish a different full-cure time.
Why do bubbles appear in epoxy resin?
Air can become incorporated during measuring, mixing and application. That's why the ReMARKable directions specifically instruct users to mix gently and avoid whipping air into the mixture.
How can I reduce bubbles while mixing?
Follow the ReMARKable process: warm the unopened components as instructed and mix gently rather than vigorously.
Can I use a torch to remove bubbles?
The currently approved ReMARKable labels do not provide instructions for using a torch or open flame. However, we do recommend adding an open-flame technique to the manufacturer's process.
Can I use ReMARKable Resin for glass art?
Yes. Glass art is one of the creative applications for which ReMARKable Resin is positioned.
Can I use it with shattered or crushed glass artwork?
ReMARKable Resin was developed in connection with the type of embellished glass artwork created and taught by Susan Anspach. As with any mixed-media project, materials and techniques should be tested when their compatibility is unknown.
Can I use ReMARKable Resin over painted artwork?
ReMARKable Resin is intended for artistic applications including painted and mixed-media artwork. Make sure the underlying materials are appropriate for your project before coating them.
Can I use it for mixed-media art?
Yes. Mixed media is one of the intended creative uses.
Can I add pigments, inks, or other colorants?
The approved manufacturer labels supplied to us do not specify compatible pigments, inks, maximum additive percentages or formulas.
Because additives can affect epoxy chemistry, test unfamiliar combinations before committing an important artwork and do not assume another resin manufacturer's additive recommendations apply to ReMARKable.
Can I add water to thin the resin?
Do not alter the manufacturer's mixing process. The approved instructions call for equal amounts of Part A and Part B and do not instruct users to add water.
Can I add solvents?
The approved directions do not call for adding solvents. Follow the supplied mixing instructions.
Why is my resin still sticky?
Potential causes in two-part epoxy work can include measurement or mixing issues and environmental conditions. Start by confirming that equal volumes of Part A and Part B were used and that the mixture was gently mixed for the full 3 minutes.
If you followed the ReMARKable directions and still experience a problem, contact us before attempting an improvised correction.
Why didn't my resin dry in 18-24 hours?
The published 18–24-hour dry time is based on an ambient temperature of 70°F (21°C). Verify your mixing ratio, mixing process and environmental conditions.
Why are there bubbles in my finished piece?
Air may have been incorporated during mixing. ReMARKable specifically instructs users to mix gently and avoid whipping air into the mixture.
Why does my project look different from another artist's?
Resin art combines multiple variables: substrate, incorporated materials, application technique, environmental conditions and artistic choices. The resin is only one part of the finished artwork.
What should I do if I think the product is defective?
Stop using the product and contact ReMARKable Resin. Keep the original containers and labels, and be prepared to provide order information, product information, photographs and details about your measuring, mixing and application process.
Do I need gloves?
Yes. Both Part A and Part B labels require protective gloves.
Do I need eye protection?
Yes. The Part B label directs users to wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye protection and face protection.

Is it safe for children?
The product labels state KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
Does ReMARKable Resin conform to ASTM D-4236?
Yes. Both Part A and Part B labels state conformity with ASTM D-4236.
Does ReMARKable Resin carry a Proposition 65 warning?
Part A carries a California Proposition 65 warning concerning Epichlorohydrin.
For complete precautions, visit our Epoxy Resin Safety page and read the labels supplied with your product.
How should I store ReMARKable Resin?
Store Part A and Part B indoors at 50–90°F, away from sunlight and in their original containers.
Can I pour unused resin down the drain?
No. The labels direct users to avoid release to the environment and dispose of contents and containers in accordance with local, regional and national regulations.
Why does environmental disposal matter?
Both components are labeled toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
